The primary feature of Mount Tamalpais State Park in California is the 2,571 feet Mount Tamalpais.  The mountain itself covers around 25,000 acres.  From the peak of the mountain, visitors can see up to 25 miles in a view that encompasses San Francisco, most of the North and East Bay, and the Farallon Islands.  The park contains mostly redwood and oak forests.  There are about 60 miles of hiking trails.  (Source: Wikipedia, Image: Ivo Jansch)
