Port Angeles is a small town on the northern side of the Olympic Peninsula and on the shores of the Strait of Juan de Fuca. On Labor Day, we walked along the 100-mile Olympic Discovery Trail on the couple miles that pass through Port Angeles. Much of the trail is right along the waterfront, where we saw a large group of seals (above) and sea lions.
We also spent a night in the Port Angeles Walmart, which had an incredible view of the Olympic Mountains.
The waterfront was quite industrial with a large saw mill.
Riding above Port Angeles is a bluff with many houses. We joked that this is where we’d run if a tsunami hit.
There were many cargo ships in the port of Port Angeles.
